Jan Virgili appears set to leave Barcelona this summer and follow Pablo Torre in making the switch to Real Mallorca.
It has been reported that Virgili is eager to join the club rather than stay at Barcelona Atletic and play in the fourth division next season.
Talks have been ongoing between the two clubs but appear to have hit a bit of a stumbling block over price.
According to Diario Sport, Barcelona are willing to sell for around €4 million but also want to keep hold of 50% of the player’s rights.
However, those numbers don’t seem to work for Mallorca at all. They would rather pay €2m and share 50% of any future transfer.
The distance in valuation means that there is plenty of work to do if Virgili is to head away to Mallorca in time for the start of the season.
There has been speculation that Virgili has also received a huge offer from Saudi Arabia but would rather stay in La Liga with Jagoba Arrasate’s side.
