TCU football pulled off a significant recruiting flip on Friday, snagging 2026 three-star defensive back Zachary Taylor away from Wisconsin. Taylor, who had been committed to the Badgers since early June, announced his commitment to the Horned Frogs on Friday.

Taylor becomes the 20th recruit of the 2026 class for the Horned Frogs, who now have the 31st ranked class in the nation, according to the 247Sports ratings. The Katy Jordan prospect ranks as the 29th cornerback recruit nationally and the 46th recruit in the state of Texas. Taylor is the third cornerback of the 2026 class, joining four-star Jason Bradford and three-star Brock King.

Taylor holds offers from multiple Power 4 programs including Houston, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Texas Tech. The 6-foot, 182-pounder posted 53 tackles, 1 TFL, and 1 INT as a junior in 2024. As a sophomore in 2023, Taylor recorded 39 tackles, 2 TFL, and 1 INT.
