Hardys receive new tag team title belts

WHAT'S THE STORY?

Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy are double champions. Oh, you didn’t know? On top of holding the TNA World Tag Team Championship, the Hardys are also the titleholders for 4th Rope Wrestling. New 4th Rope tag team belts were presented on the TNA stage.

The bigger takeaway for business is that TNA president Carlos Silva

referred to 4th Rope as partners. NZO led the 4th Rope team with Zilla Fatu and Josh Bishop to victory over Steve Maclin, Jake Something, and Mance Warner on the Slammiversary pre-show. NZO didn’t appear on the fallout episode of Impact, so we’ll see if this partnership bears more fruit in the coming season.

4th Rope is owned by Westside Gunn, who responded to the moment with pride.

WE JUST MADE FUCKING HISTORY!!!! 4TH ROPE IS THE CULTURE!!!!! S/O TO @ThisIsTNA for NOW ALLOWING OUR TAG CHAMPS AS WELL “THE HARDYS” REPRESENT OUR BELTS TO THE RING!!!! THIS IS HUGE FOR THE WRESTLING COMMUNITY… WE ARE THE 4BIDDEN DOOR & WERE BRINGING A ENERGY NEVER WITNESSED BEFORE @4thrope

The Hardys are the inaugural 4th Rope tag team champions. They won the titles in a three-way ladder match over Violence is Forever and the Infantry on Dec. 12, 2024 at Heels Have Eyes IV (full show). The Hardys went on to defend the straps successfully over Terrell Hughes & Terrence Hughes (D-Von’s sons) in April.

The next show for 4th Rope will be on August 28 in Buffalo, NY.
