Hey everyone! Just a quick announcement. Today’s my last day as the Site Manager for Gaslamp Ball. This was a voluntary decision and I did this with you, the readers, in mind.
As a lifelong Padres fan, I’m so thankful that I was able to lead this site. I took pride in allowing this to be a place where fans can give their honest thoughts about the team, whether I agreed with them or not. Helping shape the future of Gaslamp Ball was an honor and I have Eric Stephen and SB Nation to thank for that.

DeWalt will be taking over as the leader of this site and I know he, Cheri Bell and Thomas Conroy will continue to put out great Padres content for you every single week. Matt’s been doing the game recaps after every game and he’s able to be present more consistently at this time than I am.
I’ll still be posting Padres content over on my show Talking Friars. I just won’t be writing anymore here so if you still want to hear from me, that’s where you can.
Keep being passionate, Padres fans. One day a World Series will come to this town and it’s going to make the wait worth it!
