Day 3 of Cleveland Browns training camp took place on Friday. Here is our recap of the session.
Cleveland Browns Training Camp Report - Day 3 (7/25/25)
1. Fans Back to Berea: The third day of Browns training camp saw fans attending practice for the first time this season. There will be eight sessions total available to the public — an uptick from a year ago, but still shy of how things used to be. The theme for the opening practice was “Dawg Pound XL” day, and the giveaway was a Rally Towel, courtesy of Gregory Industries.

2. Camp Amenities: Unless rain ruins our plans, we’ll be at Browns training camp either next Tuesday or Wednesday, giving a video tour of camp. Based on some pictures and clips I’ve seen so far, though, it looks like the setup is the same as last year:

3. Roster Updates: Before practice, the linebacker room took a hit when LB Jordan Hicks announced his retirement. RB Jerome Ford is close to returning from his injury, and WR Michael Woods was still out from his hand injury. The team also added a new receiver.
4. Fourth vs. Fans: He might be fourth on the depth chart, but some of these young fans are already pulling hard for QB Shedeur Sanders.

5. QB Reps: Once again, Joe Flacco got the first batch of reps with the starters in 11-on-11 drills. That was followed by Kenny Pickett, and then Dillon Gabriel also had a few reps with the first-teamers. Things are moving fast and furious, as Kevin Stefanski hopes to have an updated quarterback plan by this coming Monday.
Overall, the assessment from reporters was that the offense was not thriving today. I read someone on Twitter make a joke about gearing up for 7 points per game again this year. To be fair, though, others noted that today was a day in which a lot of run game install was being done. We have to remember that there is a balance still needed in camp. Sure, you want to see the quarterbacks throw, but there are other things being worked on too.
What feels like a rare completion today. They aren’t booking a trip to Santa Clara three days into this camp. #Browns pic.twitter.com/2CYU9xcHTs

6. Tillman Banged Up: During a red zone drill, WR Cedric Tillman was banged up trying to make a leaping grab:
#Browns WR Cedric Tillman walked inside with a member of the medical staff after hurting his left lower leg trying to make a leaping grab of a pass from Joe Flacco in the back of the end zone in a red zone period. No update yet.

7. Drill of the Day: With LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah out for the year and Hicks now retired, it’s time for LB Mohamoud Diabate to step up again:

8. Bernie is Back: After a little betting snafu last year, Browns legend Bernie Kosar is back as a contributor with the organization:

Kosar was let go last year after making an unauthorized bet for charity but now, he’s back in Berea.
9. Musgrave on the QBs: Quarterbacks coach Bill Musgrave talked to the media before practice. He called Joe Flacco a 6-6 flamethrower, said that Kenny Pickett has been “stellar,” and that the two rookie quarterbacks are progressing well. He doesn’t anticipate the reps changing too much next week.
10. Brownies: Per Daryl Ruiter, there were still a lot of Nick Chubb jerseys at practice. ... OT Tevin Jenkins and CB Tony Brown were not practicing. ... Jake Burns noted that TE Harold Fannin Jr was aligning in a bunch of spots. ... QB Shedeur Sanders had a nice intermediate completion to TE Blake Whiteheart. ... QB Dillon Gabriel had a good completion to WR Gage Larvadain. ... Both rookie quarterbacks talked to the media before practice. ... The Puppy Pound is back:

11. Next Up: The Browns will practice on Saturday at 9:30 am. It will be the second of eight practices open to the public, although the forecast is calling for a chance of rain. The theme will be “Back Together Weekend.” The food truck will be Smooth Rider. The giveaway will be Koozies, courtesy of Gregory Industries.
