According to a report from Sport Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Bayern Munich’s supervisory board is allegedly shocked at the recent links between the club and RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons:
Within Bayern’s supervisory board, they’re surprised that Xavi Simons is being linked to the club again. Max Eberl is a big fan of the Dutchman - Vincent Kompany sees a potential move positively. However, Simons is only an alternative.
Even though they decided not to submit a third bid for now, Bayern bosses
ADstill want Nick Woltemade and believe that time plays in their favor as the player is determined to move.
As noted, Eberl and Kompany have been the duo powering the interest, but maybe the supervisory board is not as entranced by Simons as Eberl and Kompany.Time will tell, but the Woltemade situation might not be sorted out by the time Chelsea FC makes its final overture to Simons...which could be happening any day now.
Time is ticking...
So much is going on in the land of Bayern Munich these days....Thomas Müller looks like he is headed to LAFC, but there could be bigger issues than that loss of personnel in Bavaria. There could be a disconnect in Bayern Munich’s office between the executives, the supervisory board, and the coaches, while VfB Stuttgart could be just as wacky as Bayern Munich these days. Let’s talk about why and also catch up on injured stars Hiroki Itō, Alphonso Davies, and Jamal Musiala! You can get all that and more on the latest edition of the Bavarian Podcast Works Show!
