The Blazers received Holiday in a one-for-one swap for guard Anfernee Simons after two second-round draft picks were first offered by Portland, then taken off the table after receiving Holiday’s physical.
In a recent
episode of Locked On Blazers, host Mike Richman mentioned that Holiday hasn’t yet had an introductory press conference because the trade was officially inked when most of the people who cover the team were in Las Vegas for Summer League. Out of respect for those beat reporters, the team didn’t want to host a press event while those folks were out of town.
Blazer’s Edge associate editor Conor Bergin will report live from the practice facility tomorrow for Holiday’s availability.
