After a six-game homestand, the Dodgers hit the road for three stops, the first of which is Boston with a three-game series against the Red Sox beginning Friday night at Fenway Park.
We are only three seasons into the everybody-plays-everybody MLB schedule that began in 2023, so it’ll take some getting used to playing certain teams so often now. For instance, this will only be the ninth series that the Dodgers have played the Red Sox during the regular season, and just the fifth such series at Fenway
Park.
The last visit, in 2023, was Mookie Betts’ first work trip back to Boston since getting traded to the Dodgers three years earlier. He made the most of it, with seven hits in 15 at-bats, including a home run and two doubles, owning the weekend at his old baseball home.
The Dodgers have won their last four series against the Red Sox, with the last series loss coming in 2013. Overall the Dodgers are 14-10 against Boston in interleague play, including 5-7 at Fenway Park.
