The Dodgers went heavy on college pitchers to start the back half of Monday’s portion of the 2025 MLB Draft. Here are some notes on picks from the 11th through 15th rounds.

11th round: Dylan Tate, Oklahoma

Tate missed all of the regular season as a junior with an injury, until making his debut in the SEC Tournament. In all this year, Tate pitched in two games and struck out six batters in five innings, allowing just one run. He followed that up by pitching in the Cape Code League.

12th round: Logan Lunceford, Wake Forest

Lunceford this year as a junior had a 5.25 ERA in 60 innings but also struck out nearly a third of his batters faced, with 88 strikeouts and 28 walks, after transferring from Missouri.

Baseball America ranked Lunceford the 145th-best prospect in the draft, noting: “Lunceford sits in the low 90s with his fastball and will top out at 95 mph, but the pitch has averaged more than 20 inches of induced vertical break throughout his college career. That riding life helps it play up from its ordinary velocity, though his command of the pitch could be sharpened.”

13th round: Robby Porco, West Virginia

The 6’6 right-hander pitched mostly in relief in his three years with the Mountaineers, posted a 6.78 ERA and struck out 79 to go with 66 walks in 67⅔ innings. Porco also made news as part of his Name, Image, and Likeness deal, he offered fans the opportunity to hang out with him for only $1.

14th round: Davis Chastain, Georgia

After two years with Georgia State, Chastain transferred to Georgia and posted a 4.97 ERA in 13 relief appearances, with 15 strikeouts and five walks in 2025.

15th round: Matt Lanzendorfer, Virginia

The left-hander had a 2.90 ERA with 40 strikeouts and 13 walks in 31 innings as a graduate transfer with Virginia in 2025. The year before, Lanzendorfer finished off the last out of a Division III national championship with Misericordia University in Pennsylvania.

Getting to that national title moment came after internal brace surgery on his left elbow in 2023.
