UCF Transfer Outfielder Chase Krewson Commits to Rutgers

WHAT'S THE STORY?

Rutgers has landed outfielder Chase Krewson from UCF through the transfer portal! He comes to Rutgers with two years of eligibility.

After graduating from South Fayette High School in Pennsylvania, Krewson originally committed to play baseball for Duke, where he played one season. During his freshman season, Krewson started 35 out of the 46 games he appeared in. He posted an average of .331 at the plate with 35 hits, 5 home runs, and 22 runners batted in on 130 at-bats.

time slightly increase after transferring to UCF for his sophomore season. In 2024, he played in 45 games and started 40 games for the Golden Knights. In 140 at bats, Krewson totaled 39 hits, scored 27 runs while having an average of .279 at the plate. His home runs took a dip too, as he only knocked one in last season.

Despite his stats taking a dip during his time at UCF, his stats during his freshman year say that if he is placed in the right situation, he can be a star. Being able to perform at a high level in a very strong ACC for Duke means that he has the ability to do the same in the Big Ten at Rutgers.
