WHAT'S THE STORY?

Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Huskies got a commitment from 3 star wide receiver Blaise LaVista yesterday taking the class to 19 commits and the 18th rated class in the country. The Huskies also missed out on 3 star offensive lineman Pulele’ite Primus to Vanderbilt (more on that later).

The Huskies should get some good news from 3 star defensive back Rahsjon Duncan from McClymonds HS, CA. Duncan is committing today and the Huskies appear to be the front runner for his commitment. The Huskies are battling

UCLA, ASU, and Arizona for his commitment. If the Huskies can get a commitment from Duncan they will likely wrap up their defensive back recruiting in the 2026 class (unless they can land 4 star defensive back Davon Benjamin). Husky fans should be excited about the defensive back class that the Huskies are bringing in and Duncan is a versatile piece who can fly around and lay the lumber on opponents (he has 10.7 speed and a 6’1” 185-190 pound frame).

Along the defensive line the Huskies are still after T.I. Umu-Cais from Cherry Creek HS, CO. The Huskies hosted Umu-Cais at the beginning of June and they are battling UNC, Colorado, and UCLA. It appears that the Huskies have been fading in his recruitment lately and if they miss on Umu-Cais they will need to look to flip someone later in the process. The Huskies will need to try and add 1 interior defensive lineman and another edge in the 2026 class.

Speaking of flips the Huskies will likely be looking to flip an offensive lineman in the 2026 class after missing on Primus. I would keep an eye on are 4 star offensive lineman Sam Utu from Orange HS, CA. The Huskies were one of his top schools prior to his commitment to Alabama and it wouldn't shock me if they continue to push for him and try to flip him later in the process. If the Huskies can get another offensive lineman in the 2026 class they may be done in the offensive line class.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
