Barcelona have confirmed that highly-rated young defender Eman Kospo has left the club to join Fiorentina.

Kospo’s departure is a loss, as he looks to have an exceedingly bright future, and was part of Juvenil A’s treble winning side last season.

There’s been speculation that Kospo asked to leave after being left disappointing at not being handed a call up to pre-season with the senior squad by Hansi Flick.

The teenager has now taken to Instagram to talk about his departure and say a fond farewell to culers.

He posted on Instagram: “There has been a lot of discussion and talk over the last few hours, so I would like to inform you that my time in Barcelona has come to an end.

“To be honest, I never thought about this day... As a little boy, I always dreamed of playing for a club like this one day, and I had the chance. I’ve learned so much myself in those two years.

“From day one, I gave my all for this club on the pitch! Unfortunately, in football, you have to make different decisions and accept them, which sometimes hurt a lot, but that doesn’t mean they’re wrong. Yes, it hurts, it hurts a lot, but I’ve taken responsibility to take a different path.

“Culers, thank you so much for how you perceived me as a player and a person, and for always hearing only good things about me off the pitch. My motivation continued to grow. I was able to experience incredible moments with the club that were simply extraordinary! I dreamed, and my dreams came true.

“I got a offer by a big club with a great project regarding my football career. The club really impressed me and that’s also why I accepted the offer. Two years ago, I presented myself with a three year contract, and after two years, I’m saying goodbye...

“Barcelona, thank you! Culers, Muchas Gracias! It was an honor... All the best and lots of love.”
