The start of the Cleveland Browns training camp has not gone splendidly. LB Jordan Hicks retired out of nowhere, the offense doesn’t seem in sync, and WR Cedric Tillman went down with an injury on Friday, the first day fans were present this year.
Tillman’s injury description had rumors running rampant Friday afternoon and into the evening, with many wondering if the second receiver on the Browns depth chart could miss significant time. A player with “breakout” potential, Tillman missed the last six
games of the 2024 season after producing three of the best games of his career just weeks prior.
Friday’s injury came as Tillman went up for a high pass, as seen below:

With Cleveland’s receiving group limited to Jerry Jeudy and hope, Tillman’s injury could have a huge impact on the Browns offense, no matter who was playing quarterback. According to Jordan Schultz, those concerns were overblown:
Sources: #Browns WR Cedric Tillman is believed to be okay following the injury to his lower left leg during today’s practice — which forced him off the field.

A big relief for Cleveland, who has big plans in store for Tillman. The 2023 third-round pick totaled 29 catches for… pic.twitter.com/dI8BB8N4I5
The team will be back on the field Saturday morning with HC Kevin Stefanski speaking to the media around 9 AM where we might get an official update.
