We are now under a month until the Kentucky Wildcats kick off the 2025 season at Kroger Field against Toledo.
The Wildcats have started training camp as they prepare for the 2025 season, which stands to be one of the most important seasons of the Mark Stoops era.
Coming off a 4-8 season last year, the Wildcats have their backs against the wall, facing one of the toughest schedules in the country with heavy roster turnover from last season.
The new-look Wildcats will look to outperform expectations,
as the Cats are currently projected on most betting lines at 4.5 wins on the season.
As training camp gets underway this week, I think it will be interesting to see how a few things begin to play out.
Will Zach Calzada earn the starting nod for Week 1? If so, how close of a competition is it, and how short of a leash will he have if things aren’t going well before putting in Cutter Boley?
Who will stand out amongst wide receivers? The Cats have several new faces in the receiver room. The same goes for running backs. There seems to be a lot of talent in that position group. Who will stand out?
Is the reboot of the Kentucky offensive line legitimate? That unit was one of the most heavily re-tooled in the portal and desperately needed.
Will Kentucky utilize the tight end position? It’s the age-old question, but we did see this Zach Calzada - Josh Kattus connection.
