Nothing to really preamble today! There are so many days in the offseason with essentially no baseball news, but it’s such an oddity midseason for obvious reasons. Such is the nature of the Wednesday after the All-Star Game, with no games until Friday. Onward!
Today on the site, Nick P. will do his monthly Yankees Rotation Depth Inventory with the second half looming, and Jeremy will consider the turbulent Sandy Alcantara as a possible Trade Deadline acquisition. Later, Jeff will check in on the 2000
Yankees on this day 25 years ago, Sam will review how the Yankees’ hitters have performed compared to preseason projections, and Estêvão will look into the recent David Robertson rumors and consider whether the Yankees should bring back their old friend to bolster an ailing bullpen.
As a programming note, there will no minor league recap today, as none of the Yankees’ affiliates were in action. All the full-season leagues are on break, and Rookie ball teams are generally off on Wednesdays.

Questions/Prompts:
1. Who will be the first major trade piece moved in July? Doesn’t necessarily have to be someone going to the Yankees (and not Adam Frazier, sorry to the man).
2. Did you watch any of the ESPYs?
