A big piece of the equation in Kentucky’s revamped wide receiver room was not on the field for yesterday’s open practice.
Alabama transfer Kendrick Law was missing, but Mark Stoops isn’t too concerned, saying he thinks Law will be practicing again on Monday.
The 6’0 senior transferred to Kentucky after three years at Alabama, where he caught 10 passes for 105 yards and a touchdown last season.
Law is expected to be a big piece for Kentucky’s revamped wide receiver room, as he’s expected to be the Wildcats’
top option at slot receiver and return kicks. With his speed, Law could also be used in the run game on jet sweeps or reverses.
To me, Law might be the most intriguing addition to the offense. His speed and skill with the ball in his hands will make him fun to watch.
Bush Hamdan mentioned earlier this week that Law will be a critical part of the offense. It’s unfortunate he wasn’t available for the open practice for fans to see him in action, but it sounds like whatever injury kept him out is very minor and he’ll be back on the field soon.
