The NFL is a quarterback league.
So, while browsing any schedule, a key is to see the quarterbacks that are on the schedule. So, let’s look at the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2025 schedule and rank the quarterbacks they will face:
Oct. 19 at Kansas City Chiefs, 10 a.m., CBS, Week 18
Patrick Mahomes may have had a down season (for him) in 2024 and he had a rough Super Bowl. But let’s not complicate things. He is an all-time great and he’s in his prime. He’s the top quarterback Las Vegas will face this season.
Dec. 14 at Philadelphia Eagles, 10 a.m., FOX
Jalen Hurts is a bad man and he’s only getting better. His game has elevated greatly since his previous meeting against the Raiders, in 2021. This will be a great challenge for Patrick Graham and his defense.
Sept 15 Los Angeles Chargers, 7 p.m., ESPN, Nov. 30, 1:25 p.m.
Some people like to downgrade Herbert and say he’s overrated. That’s just incorrect. He’s the good and with increase help from his supporting cast, the sixth-year player should make strides this season.

Sept. 21 at Washington Commanders, 10 a.m., FOX
With that said, Daniels may leap by Herbert after this season. That’s not a reflection on Herbert, but just shows how special Daniels is. He had an incredible rookie season and the needle is pointing up.
Nov. 17 Dallas Cowboys, 5:20 p.m., ESPN
I’m a Dak Prescott guy. He’s not elite and he is a tier below the other quarterbacks on the Raiders’ schedule. But he is an above-average player that will be challenge for every defense he faces this season.
Dec. 21 at Houston Texans, 1:25 p.m., CBS
Stroud is a tough study and he could easily move up the ranks on this list. He was great as a rookie, but took some lumps in 2024, his second season. The Texans have a god awful offensive line and that doesn’t do him any favors. But he is very much a dangerous player and won’t be an easy task for the Raiders’ defense.

Nov. 6 at Denver Broncos, 5:15 p.m. Amazon, Dec. 7, CBS, 1:05 p.m.
Nix may not be way at the top of this list, but he is an excellent player who should make progress in his second season. He is a perfect fit for Broncos’ coach Sean Payton. The Raiders have always seen the damage Nix can deliver.
Nov. 2 Jacksonville Jaguars, 1:05 p.m., FOX
Trevor Lawrence hasn’t become the sure-fire star he was expected to be when the Jaguars made him the No. 1 overall draft pick four years ago. But he is highly talented and he’s dangerous. He shouldn’t be overlooked.
Sept. 7 at New England Patriots, 10 a.m., CBS
I’m a believer in Drake Maye and this he is going to have a big second season. It may be a break for the Raiders to face him in Week in his first game under offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. Yet, it wouldn’t surprise if Maye balls out in the game.

Sept. 28 Chicago Bears, 1:25 p.m., CBS
A year ago, most folks would have thought Williams would be ranked much higher, but he had a rough rookie season. But I still consider him a plus quarterback and this is a tough challenge for Las Vegas, especially if Williams develops quickly under new Bears’ head coach Ben Johnson.
Oct. 5 at Indianapolis Colts, 10 a.m., FOX
We’ve dropped another tier and a steep fall. Daniel Jones is probably going to staring over Anthony Richardson, who is coming back from an injury. Either way, this is not a difficult matchup for the Raiders.
Oct. 12 Tennessee Titans, 1:05 p.m., FOX
We have no idea what to expect from Cam Ward. The Raiders are facing the No. 1 overall draft pick in his sixth NFL game. He may be good. He may still be raw. For now, he ranks low on this list.
Week 17 (TBA) New York Giants, TBA., TBA
I expect we will see first-round pick Jaxson Dart at this point of the season over Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. I have a feeling Dart may be good, but this is still a manaegable task for the Raiders.
Nov. 23 Cleveland Browns, 1:05 p.m., CBS
Joe Flacco? Kenny Pickett? Shedeur Sanders? Dillon Gabriel? Deshaun Watson? Who knows? We do know it’s one of the worst quarterback situation in the league.
Conclusion:
This is a tough group with the majority of the Raiders’ games being played against quality quarterbacks.
