10 Chiefs miss Wednesday practice; Xavier Worthy in concussion protocol

For the Kansas City Chiefs’ eighth training camp practice at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph on Wednesday morning — a lighter session that preceded Thursday’s day off — a total of 10 players were out.

Three wide receivers — Xavier Worthy (head), Hollywood Brown (ankle) and Skyy Moore (hamstring) — missed time in Tuesday’s practice. All three were held out on Wednesday. too. After practice, the Chiefs said that Worthy is now in the concussion protocol.

Right tackle Jawaan Taylor did

not practice on Wednesday. The team said he has a knee injury.

Cornerback Kristian Fulton (knee) was out. He has now missed all of the training camp practices on the team’s Active/PUP (physically-unable-to-perform) list.

Tight end Jake Briningstool and cornerback Darius Rush each missed with hamstring injuries. Briningtstool missed his fourth day, while Rush missed his third.

Three players who were held out of practice for the first time on Tuesday — rookie linebacker Jeff Bassa (ankle sprain), safety Deon Bush (hamstring) and cornerback Eric Scott (hamstring) — missed their second day of practice.

Linebacker Cooper McDonald — who had left Tuesday’s practice early with an illness — was back at work on Wednesday.
