According to a report from Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg, Eintracht Frankfurt has rejected an €80 million proposal from Newcastle United for attacker Hugo Ekitiké:
⚫️⚪️ EXCL | Eintracht Frankfurt are understood to have rejected a written offer from Newcastle this morning worth €80 million, mainly due to the payment terms. #NUFC
… and Markus Krösche wants more. There are clubs who have already signalled they would be willing to pay more. #SGE
Eintracht Frankfurt is trying to balance getting
as much as it can for Ekitiké vs. having a team that compete in the Champions League. A sale of the striker would certainly hurt those chances, but the money he would bring back could be a massive help to the club.
