Real Madrid midfielder Mario Martin is set to join neighbouring side Getafe on loan this summer, according to a report from MARCA.
Martin spent a season at Real Valladolid last year, and was featured in the Club World Cup squad when he came back to Real Madrid in June.
He will now play at Getafe, and the club will also have an option to buy the player at the end of his loan spell next season, which makes this deal very similar to what the two clubs decided on for Alvaro Rodriguez last summer.
The steep
competition in the midfield at Los Blancos meant there was no space for Martin, who is talented, but not enough to warrant a place in the first team.
Martin played 1748 minutes for Valladolid in La Liga last season, registering 20 starts as well as an assist. He looked decent on the field, and was good defensively. He would hope for an even better term at Getafe next season.
