Sources close to Min-jae deny Al-Nassr rumors (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)

Bayern Munich center-back Kim Min-jae is on tenuous footing at the club these days.

Rumors have been swirling that Min-jae was being shopped by the club, but a story broke on Thursday indicating that the Korean’s agent was talking to Al-Nassr. Now, “sources close to Min-jae” denied the report:

Sources close to Min-jae #Kim told Sky:

“We are currently not in talks with Al-Nassr. These reports are not true. Min-jae is fully focused on FC Bayern and will stay, unless something extraordinary happens.”

It still would not be shocking to see Min-jae ask to leave Bayern Munich this summer. It is just hard to imagine that the Korean will be content if he is the third option in a two center-back formation.

Simons pulls social media divorce move on Leipzig (Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze)

Xavi Simons went Instagram official in breaking up with RB Leipzig:

News about Xavi Simons: The Dutchman has deleted “RB Leipzig” from his Instagram page. Coincidence? More likely a clear signal that he wants to leave the club. Xavi and his camp continue to push for a move. The situation remains the same: Chelsea are the most concrete suitor. Leipzig are still demanding €70m all-in, including add-ons. Deal on. Leipzig are waiting for the first written offer.

Young Bayern defenders on the move? (Nürnberger Nachrichten via @iMiaSanMia)

Bayern Munich center-back Tarek Buchmann has seen his last three seasons decimated by numerous injuries. That has not stopped 1. FC Nürnberg from lobbing over some interest in the defender:

1. FC Nürnberg are interested in signing Tarek Buchmann in order to strengthen their backline for the new season. The 20-year old’s contract at FC Bayern expires next year.

How bad is Buchmann’s injury history? Well, check out these numbers from Transfermarkt:

  • 2024/25 — 3 injuries / 269 days missed / 44 games missed
  • 2023/24 — 3 injuries / 371 days missed / 49 games missed
  • 2022/23 — 3 injuries / 159 days missed / 10 games missed

Yikes! After missing that much time, Buchmann just needs to play. A loan would be the best option for Bayern Munich to get an idea of what it might have in the 20-year-old.

On another front, Bayern Munich center-back Grayson Dettoni is headed back to Bayern Munich (as our own Frank covered here). The American could get a look with the first team or even Bayern Munich II, but another loan could be in play for the talented youngster (via @iMiaSanMia_en):

Grayson Dettoni’s loan at Grasshopper Club Zürich has been terminated with immediate effect. The 20-year old American defender returns to FC Bayern II’s squad.

LFC shot down on first attempt for Isak (Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg)

Liverpool wants to put the money it earned from the sale of Luis Díaz to work. The Reds submitted a proposal to Newcastle United for Alexander Isak, but were shot down:

Newcastle have rejected an official offer from Liverpool for Alexander #Isak, as per @TheAthletic. However, Isak still wants to join #LFC. A verbal agreement on personal terms until 2031 has been reached, as revealed and confirmed. The offer was submitted after that agreement had been made.

Negotiations are ongoing. A new offer is very likely. @SkySportDE

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano also had information on the matter:

Liverpool opening bid for Alexander Isak was worth £120m package plus add-ons.

Newcastle rejected as they won’t open doors at least until finding a replacement… and it’s not guaranteed, at this stage.

Isak insists with Newcastle on his clear desire to join Liverpool.

Transfer journo Nicolò Schira had details on the situation, too:

Despite the first bid (120M) rejected by #Newcastle, Alexander #Isak has not changed his plans: he wants to leave #NUFC and pushing to join #Liverpool, which are ready to submit to #Magpies a new offer to try to sign the swedish striker. #transfers #LFC

Moyes has high hopes for Aznou (EvertonNews)

Adam Aznou might have left Bayern Munich on a sour note, but Everton has high hopes for him:

On Thursday, a report from Sky Germany indicated that Adam Aznou’s work ethic and attitude at the Club World Cup

“This boy’s a young boy, maybe not quite ready yet,” the Scotsman admitted. “But we hope he will be shortly and yeah we see a lot of good things in him. Technically very good. Athletic. Might need just a little bit to get himself built up and ready for the Premier League.

“So we won’t be putting him under any pressure and we won’t be giving any guarantees to the supporters that he’s going to be seen right away.

“We’ll wait and observe him ourselves but we’ve heard lots of good things about him and we’ve seen what we’ve seen we like, so let’s hope it works out.”

BVB balking on Sancho move? (Get German Football News)

Borussia Dortmund has been rumored to be contemplating a move to bring back Jadon Sancho for a third time, but skepticism might be growing about a return:

⚫️ Borussia Dortmund have some reservations over signing Jadon Sancho for a 3rd time. (@berger_pj)

Dortmund do not want to be criticised for a lack of creativity in their transfer business.

There are question marks on why Sancho had no future at Chelsea or Man United.

Sancho is desperate to leave Manchester United and could be willing to take a 50% pay cut (!?) per Bild:

Jadon Sancho is willing to take a pay cut of up to 50% to re-join Borussia Dortmund.

The Englishman earns around €16m with Manchester United but would be willing to accept a yearly salary of €8m. (BILD)
