The first 34 of those career yards came in perhaps the most satisfying fashion imaginable: A touchdown on his very first career passing attempt in a 51-6 blowout win against Pitt in the driving rain. It was enough to prompt ESPN announcer Sean McDonough’s now-classic line, This college thing is easy, says Sean Clifford! Cliff would go on to throw for another 10,627 yards and 85 touchdowns spanning
over a four-year career as starter, and would ultimately get drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Currently rocking the No. 34 jersey on the roster is redshirt freshman defensive tackle and Michigan transfer Owen Wafle, and fifth-year senior running back Tyler Holzworth.
