WHAT'S THE STORY?

Happy Sunday Husky fans. The Husky football team has just started fall camp and football is in the air on Montlake. As we have discussed the 2026 class is fairly full with 21 commits in the class (it’s expected it will be between 22-25 commits in the class). Today I wanted to take a look forward toward the 2027 class and some of the top targets to keep an eye on over the coming months:

At quarterback the Huskies have offered 12 players in the 2027 class but I would keep an eye on 4 star quarterback Sione

AD

Kaho from Lincoln HS, WA. The Huskies have been aggressive in their pursuit of Kaho and they are battling Oregon and BYU in their efforts to land the 14th best quarterback in the 2026 class. Listed at 6’2” and around 205 pounds, Kaho has a good frame and is the top quarterback in the northwest in the 2027 class.

At running back the Huskies are after some highly rated targets but a name to keep an eye on is Noah Roberts from Basha HS, AZ. Roberts, who was teammates with Husky QB Demond Williams, is one of the top running backs in the country (rated as the 4th best running back in the 2027 class). Listed at 6’1” and around 190 pounds, Roberts is a complete back and the Huskies have been recruiting him for a while (he visited in the spring for an unofficial visit). Roberts holds offers from most major programs around the country and last season he had 1,067 yards on 152 attempts with 19 touchdowns.

On the defensive line the Huskies are after a bunch of prospects, and locally there is a 4 star defensive lineman in-state that the Huskies would love to add. Tevita Nonu from O’Dea HS, WA is rated as the 16th best defensive lineman in the country and top player in-state for the 2027 class. Listed at 6’4” and around 270 pounds, Nonu has good size already and a frame to add some more mass to be an impact player in college. The Huskies would love to add more top end talent along the defensive line and Husky fans should keep an eye on Nonu for the 2027 class.

At safety the Huskies are after a bunch of heavily regarded targets but 4 star safety Isala Aisa Wily-Ava from St John Bosco is a name to keep an eye on. Rated as the 17th best safety in the 2027 class the Huskies have been aggressive in their pursuit of players from the trinity league and Wily-Ava is one of the top players in the trinity league in the 2027 class. Listed at 6’2” and around 195 pounds, Wily-Ava has a good frame and is a bigger safety that the Huskies have been targeting as well over the last few cycles (trying to get faster and bigger on the back end). It sounds like the Huskies are an early leader for him and I wouldn’t be shocked to see some early commitments come in this fall for the Huskies.

That is all for today and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
