FC Bayern Frauen have recalled Ana Marie Guzmán from loan at Utah Royals FC. She arrived in the States this Spring and was set to spend the entire calendar year — the full NWSL season — but was recalled after the first half of the season. While with the Royals, Guzmán struggled to find playing time, making just five appearances with zero starts, goals, or assists. Bayern has also announced that she will be loaned out to the Brazilian side Palmeiras for the entire 2025/26 season.
Guzmán joined Bayern
in 2023 but sustained an injury with the Colombian national team shortly after and was out for an extended time. She struggled to get playing time with Bayern before going out on loan. Still just 20 years old, she needs stable playing time to develop.
Guzmán is currently with the Colombian national team in the Copa America Femenina. She has made two appearances off the bench, supporting Columbia all the way to final against Brazil this coming Saturday.
