Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl has not had an easy time this summer.
The club’s transfer acquisitions and sales have been complicated and the executive can acknowledge he has had easier summers.
“We’re happy that we got our priority target. It’s not an easy transfer window, especially given the injury situation with Jamal Musiala, Alphonso Davies, and Hiroki Itō. We’re very happy with the squad. There’s still time; the transfer window is still open until August 31, we’ll see what happens
next,” Eberl said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
Eberl’s job is not necessarily on the line, but a successful transfer window would go a long way in improving his job security in Bavaria.
The Bavarians finalized the much-anticipated signing of Luis Díaz from Liverpool FC to give the team a new look at left-wing? Will the 28-year-old get an early starting nod or will Vincent Kompany hold him out a bit longer? That will be just one of the key decisions made for the match against Olympique Lyon at the Allianz Arena.
