Khamzat Chimaev is in full gear for his first-ever UFC title shot later this month at UFC 319, but “Borz” may have missed out on a huge opportunity to promote his next fight.
According to popular streamer, Adin Ross, the undefeated middleweight contender requested a whopping $700,000 to make an appearance on Ross’ ultra-successful channel. It would have been a good chance for Chimaev to do some last-minute advertising for his anticipated showdown with UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis at UFC 319,
but the Chechen fighter had an asking price that couldn’t be matched.

“I connected with someone from Khamzat’s team and the guy said $700,000 to stream with Khamzat,” revealed Ross (shown above). “I’ve never laughed so hard in my life. It was insane.”
Chimaev, who is one of the best undefeated fighters to come through UFC in quite some time, has turned in an 8-0 Octagon record and is coming off a scary submission finish over former UFC champion Robert Whittaker. As a result of his success and massive International following, “Borz” has become one of the more popular fighters on the UFC roster today. In fact, Chimaev has roughly 10 million Instagram followers as of now, which is more than UFC legends Jon Jones, Israel Adesanya, and Charles Oliveira.
But does Chimaev deserve $700,000 to make an appearance on one of the most popular streams around as a way to promote his own fight?
Probably not. Maybe Khamzat was hoping for a sneaky cash grab or maybe he really thinks his time is worth this type of money. Maybe he just shot for the stars because he didn’t want to be bothered during the final stretch of training camp.
Either way, Chimaev won’t be hopping on Ross’ stream anytime soon (or any other stream for that matter if this is really his price tag).
