
Former Kentucky Wildcats standout Ramel “Smooth” Bradley was arrested in Lexington over the weekend, according to a police arrest citation.
The incident occurred at an apartment complex on East 7th Street, where officers say Bradley was allegedly trespassing and became involved in a physical altercation with a security guard.
Authorities also reported that Bradley was operating a moped without a valid license. During the arrest, police say they discovered marijuana packed into a blunt in his possession.
Bradley now faces multiple charges, including marijuana possession, trespassing, resisting arrest, and operating a moped without a valid license.
Known affectionately by fans as “Smooth,” Bradley was a key figure for the Kentucky men’s basketball team from 2004-08. He played in nearly 130 games during his collegiate career, earning a reputation as a tough and reliable guard, as well as a fan favorite.
Bradley’s time at Kentucky left a lasting impact on Big Blue Nation, and news of his arrest has drawn attention from both fans and the Lexington community. There has been no public comment from Bradley as of now.
