No matter how many times he has been linked to the Premier League in recent weeks, there has always been one catch when it comes to Randal Kolo Muani’s desire for the 2025-26 season: He wants to return to Juventus, and he wants to make that happen no matter what.
The difficult in that is the simple fact that on the other end of the negotiations just so happens to be a Paris Saint-Germain side that wants to recoup as much money as possible in one of the club’s biggest investments ever.
But according
to one of Italy’s biggest daily sports pages, there might finally be some progress being made in talks between the European champions and Juventus. La Gazzetta dello Sport on Friday reported that Juventus “are getting closer” to seeing the 26-year-old French striker return for the 2025-26 season after the latest round of talks with Paris Saint-Germain. Those talks involved PSG reportedly dropping the overall price for Kolo Muani to around €50 million, with Juventus not far behind when it comes to meeting some sort of agreement. The only main difference in the deal remains how things will be structured, as PSG want a good chunk of that €50 million or so up front rather than most of it included in an option or obligation to buy next summer.

Additionally, Gazzetta is convinced that with every passing day, things continue to work in Juventus’ favor considering just how much PSG want to ensure that Kolo Muani is not around in Paris come the end of the summer transfer window.
Considering how so much of this deal seems to have been at a stalemate for more than just a few days now, any sort of reporting that suggest the word “progress”
When it comes to talks with PSG, Juventus general manager Damien Comolli said the following on Thursday: “Relations with PSG are excellent. The boy is pushing for a return to Juve, but we still have to find an agreement.”
In recent days, Kolo Muani has also been linked with a handful of Premier League clubs, including Tottenham, Manchester United and Newcastle United. That is due to the fact there could still be a host of dominoes to fall with strikers whenever Alexander Isak finalizes his proposed move to Liverpool. United and Newcastle have both been linked to RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Šeško in recent days.
