The Young Bucks respond to Cody Rhodes feeling disrespected in AEW, I think

WHAT'S THE STORY?

AEW

Last night, a teaser clip from The Bill Simmons Podcast revealed that one reason why Cody Rhodes left AEW in early 2022 is because he felt disrespected there. Cody was a founding father of the company, and he “wouldn’t stand for” that kind of treatment.

A short while later, fellow AEW founding fathers the Young Bucks decided to post on social media about disrespect.

the lack of respect. You know? That’s what hurts the most.

Now of course, the disrespect that Matt and Nick Jackson are dealing with right now in AEW is all part of kayfabe, where nearly the entire locker room is making fun of the Bucks after they lost their EVP powers at All In Texas. Matt and Nick even got a jobber entrance on last night’s (July 30) episode of Dynamite. A surface-level reading of their post makes complete sense within the storyline and wouldn’t cause someone to think about Cody Rhodes.

But are they also sending a message to Cody with this post? Is it just a clever wink and nod to Cody’s story in order to get more attention on themselves, or does it have absolutely nothing to do with Rhodes?

Give me your reaction to the Young Bucks’ post about disrespect in the comments below, Cagesiders.
