Manchester United have reportedly included a penalty fee in the loan deal that will see Marcus Rashford join Barcelona this summer.
Rashford is expected to move on a season-long loan with a purchase option set at around €30 million for June 2026.
Fabrizio Romano has now delivered an update and says the transfer also includes a penalty fee which Barca will have to pay if they do not sign Rashford permanently.
There is no confirmation of how much the fee actually is, but Romano says it is less than €5m.
United put in a similar clause last season when they sent Jadon Sancho on loan to Premier League rivals Chelsea. The Blues ended up paying out around €5m to send Sancho back to Old Trafford.
As for Rashford, he spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa. His transfer also included a purchase option but the Villans opted not to take it up.
