Ahead of 2025-26 NBA regular season schedule releasing Thursday, the league has released the 2025 NBA Emirates Cup schedule for the Portland Trail Blazers and the rest of the league on Wednesday.
The Blazers will play in the daunting West Group C for the third annual in-season tournament. During the round-robin slate of group play, the Blazers will play at home against the Denver Nuggets on Oct. 31; on the road versus the Houston Rockets on Nov. 14; on the road versus the Golden State Warriors on Nov. 21;
and at home against the San Antonio Spurs on Nov. 26.
None of Portland’s four group-play games are scheduled to air on national television, which is unsurprising, but lame, nonetheless.
After group play wraps on Nov. 28, eight teams will advance to the knockout rounds: the top teams from each group and two wild-card teams — the team from each conference with the best record in group play games that finished second in its group. The single-elimination knockout rounds will begin with the quarterfinals on Dec. 9-10 in NBA team markets. Then the show moves to Las Vegas for the semifinals and championship on Dec. 13 and Dec. 16, respectively.
Last year in the second annual NBA Cup, the Blazers finished fourth in their group with a 2-2 record, failing to qualify for the knockout rounds.
