Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has played down talk that Ronald Araujo will leave before the start of the season.
Speculation that Araujo could move on has been a theme throughout the summer, particularly after Deco said Barca have too many center-backs.
Flick has been asked about Araujo at a press conference on Seoul but isn’t expecting the Uruguay international to go anywhere.
“Why would he leave? There are always a lot of rumours, but I haven’t seen any sign that makes me think he’ll go,” he told reporters.
AD“We have a very complete squad, with even three players for some positions. That’s good for us, it’s going to be a tough season.
“I repeat, I’m surprised that this is being talked about.”
Flick also looked ahead to the new campaign and is expecting a tough test.
“It will be a tough season, but we face it in a positive way, we have improved the quality of the team, that’s what we think, but it will be a long season,” he added.
“We look at ourselves and we want to win titles, the same as last season, the same objective. We are going to try to win every game as always.”
Barcelona and Flick are in South Korea for the second game of their pre-season tour. They take on FC Seoul on Thursday.
