Serie A side Roma are apparently sniffing around Barcelona midfielder Marc Bernal following his return from injury.
Bernal is back in first-team training after being sidelined for almost a year with a serious knee injury.
Gianluca Di Marzio is reporting that Roma have expressed a “strong interest” in Bernal and have already been in touch to discuss a potential move.
The report also claims that Real Betis are keen on the midfielder, although there’s no mention of whether the clubs are thinking about
a loan or a permanent transfer.
Bernal’s return will be a boost for Barcelona but he may have to take it slow after such a long time off and will face plenty of competition for a place in the team.
It has been claimed that Hansi Flick is concerned he has too many midfielders, but it seems highly unlikely he’d be willing to sanction Bernal’s departure at this point.
