Cubs and Chicago legend Ryne Sandberg passes away at 65 — On Monday, the Chicago community lost one of its all-time great sports icons. Chicago Cubs legend Ryne Sandberg has died at the age of 65, according to the franchise. Sandberg died in hospice care following complications in his ongoing battle with prostate cancer.
