Barcelona are reportedly closing in on a loan deal for Manchester United outcast Marcus Rashford that will include an option to buy.
The latest update on this saga comes from the usually-reliable David Ornstein at the Athletic who seems confident Rashford could secure a move to Barcelona.
Ornstein reports that Barcelona “have made an offer via intermediaries to loan Rashford next season and the proposal includes an option to buy.”
He adds that this is “not yet a done deal” but goes on to say that “talks
between all parties are now at the final stages.”
Rashford has long made it clear that he would love to move to Barcelona, while Hansi Flick and Deco have both previously admitted they like the forward.
The Catalans had been chasing both Nico Williams and Luis Diaz this summer but, with finances still an issue, it looks like Rashford may now arrive at Camp Nou instead.
