The Eagles have been, and will continue, making moves as the team reports for training camp. There is a new report that the team is signing DT Joe Evans.

Evans was an unsigned free agent with the Colts in the spring, but was released in late-May. At 6-foot-2, 323 pounds, the DT started his collegiate career at LSU (2019-21) and finished it at UTSA (2022-24). He started five games for UTSA in 2024, recording five tackles
and one sack before his season ended due to injury.
The Eagles will need to release someone in order to make room for Evans, but this is the part of the off-season where some of these depth spots are a bit of a revolving door. Guys who are cut the next couple weeks could still find their way back with the team on the practice squad.
Having guys who are at least vaguely familiar with how the team does things is valuable as the season goes on. Even if they only get a couple days in the building in camp, those are the people the team will call up late in the year if injuries cause depth concerns.
