MM 7.21: Shell Shock advances to TBT James Madison Regional Round of 16

WHAT'S THE STORY?

Maryland men’s basketball’s alumni team, Shell Shock, advanced Sunday to the Round of 16 in the TBT after a thrilling 81-78 win over the Red Rose Thunder in the James Madison Regional.

Darryl Morsell hit the clincher for Shell Shock, fading away from contact in the paint to get his team to the game’s target score of 81. Morsell finished with an impressive 18 points, eight rebounds and seven assists.

But it was Diamond Stone who stole the show for much of the afternoon. The former five-star recruit

racked up 16 points in the first half and finished with 23.

Shell Shock now moves onto play NXT ERA Elite in the regional final Tuesday. The winner moves onto the national quarterfinal.
