This week, we’re voting on nationally televised and
internet streaming pro wrestling shows that took place Aug. 10-16, 2025 — Raw, NXT, Evolve, Dynamite, Impact, ROH on HonorClub, SmackDown, Collision, New Japan’s G1 Climax shows (leading up to but not including the final), TNA Emergence, AAA Triplemania, and everything else I’m no doubt forgetting.
But first, here’s the outcome of last week’s voting, and how those results changed our annual competition for the Cageside Cup.
That wasn’t the turn some were predicting, but okay…
- SummerSlam’s face vs. face main event gave us our first and second place finishers for the week that started with the event’s second night.
- Explaining the “Ruse of the Century” put the new WWE World Heavyweight champ one spot ahead of the Women’s World champ for retaining.
- The WWE Tag champs also retained in a banger at the Biggest Party of the Summer, but were split by the Big Scot who came for QB1 on the fallout edition of Raw.
- We had a tie for eighth between two Raw stars who were positioned for their respective division’s top belts on last Monday’s show.
- And two Intercontinental champs (apologies to Giulia for misidentifying her title last week) wrapped things up in a tie with the two-company star who had an impressive run through this year’s G1 Climax.
