At last, the Seattle Seahawks have their 2025 draft class under contract.
Former University of Miami tight end Elijah Arroyo, the No. 50 overall selection, has agreed to terms on his rookie contract. Wage scales are determined in advance by draft slot, so the only detail of consequence is how much guaranteed money he’s receiving, and we have our answer.
Seahawks signed second-round pick, TE Elijah Arroyo, to a four-year, $8.813 million deal, including $6.872 million fully guaranteed, per his agents

For perspective, $6.872 million guaranteed out of $8.813 million is about 78 percent, which is more than double the percentage that 2024 No. 50 overall pick Mike Sainristil received from the Washington Commanders.
When Jayden Higgins of the Houston Texans and Carson Schwesinger of the Cleveland Browns became the first second-rounders to have fully guaranteed deals, there was effectively a two-month league-wide pause on signing their Round 2 picks. Once the San Francisco 49ers gave Alfred Collins a non-fully guaranteed deal, that seemed to get the ball rolling for other teams to get moving. The Seahawks previously agreed to terms with No. 35 overall selection Nick Emmanwori, who joined Higgins and Schwesinger in the fully guaranteed contract club.
And so the ordeal is over. The Seahawks have their rookies all under contract and we can focus exclusively on training camp practices, which start next Wednesday.
