Gwinnett Stripers vs Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp - 6:05 PM
Pitching Probables
GWI: JR Ritchie (N/A)
JAX: Patrick Monteverde (3-3, 4.62 ERA)
The Stripers send JR Ritchie out to make his Triple-A debut in this one. Ritchie has had an excellent season, posting a 2.35 ERA over 80.1 innings in Columbus and Rome this year, as he gets to one final step before the big leagues. The Stripers are hoping Ritchie can get them back in the win column for the first time since the break, following yesterday’s 3-2 loss. Luke Waddell, Jarred Kelenic, and Carlos Rodriguez are the Stripers to watch
offensively.
Columbus Clingstones @ Rocket City Trash Pandas - 7:35 PM
Pitching Probables
RC: Mitch Faris (0-6, 5.14 ERA)
COL: Lucas Braun (4-3, 3.99 ERA)
Columbus is coming off a 4-1 loss in the first game since the break and will turn to Lucas Braun against former Braves prospect Mitch Faris. It hasn’t been a great season for Faris, so with Braun on the mound the Clingstones are hoping to break into the win column. Braun has been solid throughout the season, and has actually pitched better than the 3.99 ERA would indicate. As always David McCabe has been the best hitter for the Stones this year, with Geraldo Quintero and Ethan Workinger also being players to watch in that lineup.
Rome Emperors @ Asheville Tourists - 6:05 PM
Pitching Probables
ASH: Jean Pinto (1-0, 6.66 ERA)
ROM: Adam Maier (4-7, 5.33 ERA)
The Emperors are coming off last night’s 14-2 slaughter and are hoping Adam Maier can continue the success he had last time out in order to get their first win of the second half. Maier threw six and a third scoreless innings last weekend in one of his best starts of the season. Ambioris Tavarez, Patrick Clohisy, and Will Verdung are players to watch in the Rome lineup.
Augusta GreenJackets @ Myrtle Beach Pelicans - 6:05 PM
Pitching Probables
MB: TBD
AUG: Rayven Antonio (6-2, 2.43 ERA)
The GreenJackets were no hit yesterday, always a surprise with the way their offense goes. They’ll turn to Rayven Antonio today, and he has been one of the most consistent pitchers in the entire organization this season. He brings a 2.43 ERA and 1.04 WHIP in 66.2 innings. The Augusta outfield of Luis Guanipa, Eric Hartman, Isaiah Drake, and Owen Carey is always expected to lead the lineup, which just added Juan Mateo from the FCL club after posting a .671 there in his stateside debut.
FCL Braves @ FCL Rays - 10:00 AM
Pitching Probables
RAY: TBD
BRA: TBD
The FCL Braves could start seeing an infusion of new talent as soon as this morning. Recent draftees Dixon Williams, Landon Beidelschies, and Zach Royse are all on the roster, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if more additions to the roster came ahead of game time. If he plays Dixon Williams is the guy to watch, but even without him there is still Jose Perdomo, Junior Garcia, and the recently promoted Michael Martinez.
