The Utah Jazz had some interesting things related to the team release, here’s what’s happened this week.
No Jazz players featured in ESPN’s most interesting sophomores
The Jazz have three players eligible for consideration: Cody Williams, Isaiah Collier, and Kyle Filipowski, and none were picked. It’s somewhat understandable that none were picked, but it does reek of the same old “forget that the Utah Jazz are a team in the NBA” that Jazz fans grow used to.
I think that Filipowski is interesting, considering he just won summer league MVP and has a season coming
up where he may be legitimately competing with Lauri Markkanen for time. Markkanen had a down year last year, and Filipowski shows a lot of promise.
New Jazz uniforms and arena look great
The Jazz released some new pictures and videos of the uniforms and arena and it’s fantastic.

Both of them look fantastic, but I’m pretty thrilled with the white jersey. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen a white jersey this incredible for any team. The purple and black jerseys are also great, but the elite level of that white jersey still blows me away.
On top of an incredible uniform, it looks like we also get a new court, and it’s also great.

we’re ready for the 2025/26 season, are you?!#TakeNote | @deltacenter pic.twitter.com/h8lO4Bter1
So Utah may not win a ton of games next year, but they’ll look great every night. Gone are the days of jerseys that are as forgettable as the roster on the floor. Now, let’s hope the Jazz get lucky in the lottery to have talent that matches the elite level of the uniform.
Jazz players ranked on NBA.com’s top 100 fantasy rankings
A big shoutout to David J. Smith for catching this one. He compiled the players in the top 100.
Three Jazz players in NBA dot com's top 100 fantasy rankings:

#48- Walker Kessler
#80- Lauri Markkanen
#94- Keyonte Georgehttps://t.co/K21wFbL1zS
It’s a different way of looking at the team, but it does give a quick snapshot of who on the Jazz will be producing numbers. Kessler is a solid choice as a player who will put up consistent points, rebounds, and blocks. Why Markkanen is low is for two reasons. He doesn’t put up a wide range of stats. It’s mostly points, threes, with some rebounds sprinkled in. Outside of that, he’s not putting up a lot. Now, it doesn’t mean he’s the 80th best player in the league, just the 80th best fantasy player, give or take. What it IS a reminder of, Markkanen doesn’t do a lot outside of scoring the ball, and mostly from three.
