The Cincinnati Reds and Los Angeles Dodgers rekindle their old National League West rivalry tonight in Great American Ball Park for the first game of what will be a three-game series.
The Reds have surged to 6 games over the .500 mark - a season high - while the Dodgers limp into GABP having lost 13 of their last 18 games overall. Hopefully, that means the Reds can pounce on their old bitter rivals and jump into one of the final Wild Card spots as early as tonight.
To do so this evening they’ll have
to get past Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who is fresh off his first All-Star Game appearance and pitching like the ace he was signed to be. Chase Burns, who’ll start tonight for Cincinnati, will be looking to turn his pure stuff into pure results as his numbers right now don’t at all reflect just how electric he can be.
First pitch is set for 7:10 PM ET. Lineups below.
