All four Dodgers affiliates won their first game back after the break, as none of the starting pitchers gave up an earned run in 18⅓ total innings of work.

Jackson Ferris got off to a great post-break start, throwing seven innings of shutout ball, giving up three hits, one walk, and striking out seven. Since giving up seven runs on June 15, Ferris has put together a nice string of five starts, giving up four runs and 14 hits in 27⅔ innings, while striking out 31. While Ferris has walked a batter for
every two innings pitched this season, he has only walked a total of two in his last two starts, providing more evidence that his game is starting to come together.

Triple-A Oklahoma City
Matt Sauer struck out eleven while giving up just one unearned run as the Comets defeated the Sacramento River Cats (Giants) 5-2. Blake Treinen pitched a perfect inning in relief as he makes his way back from an arm injury.

Oklahoma City got all the runs they would need in the first inning when Ryan Ward hit a two-run homer, his 25th, and Hunter Feduccia followed with a solo blast. While the Pacific Coast League’s RBI record is safe (Tony Lazzeri had 222 in 1925), Ward leads all of baseball with 84 RBIs.

Double-A Tulsa
Kole Myers had a massive day at the plate, hitting two home runs and a single, driving in four runs, and scoring three, as the Drillers defeated the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Royals) 7-2. Ferris got his sixth win of the season with seven dominant scoreless innings. Myers hit a solo home run in the third inning, then followed that up with a three-run shot in the fourth. Kyle Nevin had three hits, and Chris Newell hit his eleventh home run for the Drillers.

High-A Great Lakes
The Loons erupted for four runs in the top of the sixth inning on five singles and an error. That was enough to procure a 5-4 victory over the Dayton Dragons (Reds), whose two-run rally in the ninth inning fell short. Sean Linan started for the Loons, but was only allowed to go two innings and 28 pitches, despite giving up no runs on one hit and one walk. Josue De Paula and Zyhir Hope went a combined 0-for-9, and De Paula wore the Golden Sombrero with four strikeouts after winning the Futures Games MVP.
Low-A Rancho Cucamonga
The Quakes defeated the Lake Elsinore Storm (Padres) 5-1. The Quakes broke a scoreless tie with a three-run sixth inning, the big hits were run-scoring doubles by Jose Meza and Mairoshendrick Martinus. On the night, Meza and Martinus both had three hits, as the bulk of the offense came from the middle part of the Quakes’ lineup. Aidan Foeller had his best start of the season, going four innings and giving up no runs on one hit. Foeller, who had a very rough month of June, giving up 18 earned runs in 19⅓ innings, has not allowed a run in three July starts, totalling nine innings, giving up just four hits and three walks, while striking out fourteen.
