Barcelona had been tipped to sign Roony Bardghji’s brother Rayan this summer but have seen the 15-year-old sign for Nordsjælland instead.

The youngster has penned a three-year contract with the Danish side and is happy and excited to join his new club.

“I feel very good here and I’m very excited. I’ve known Nordsjælland for a long time because of the talent development it offers, and I’m looking forward to being a part of it. I feel like I have the best opportunities here to develop as a player,” he said.

“I’ve seen how they give young talents the chance to play in the Superliga, and that’s what I hope for. And I also know it can happen quickly. I see a great future for myself here at Nordsjælland and I hope to have an excellent career here.”

As for Roony, the 19-year-old has reportedly impressed in pre-season training since his move and looks set to be part of the tour to Asia where he’ll be hoping to debut.
