As the Brewers kick off a homestand, they start their series against the Marlins Friday afternoon.
Freddy Peralta takes his place on the mound as the team’s ace, currently sporting a 2.85 ERA. He allowed four runs in his last start, against the Dodgers’ formidable lineup, but had gone 11 straight starts prior to that without allowing more than three runs.
For Miami, right-hander Cal Quantrill makes his 20th start of the season. His 5.24 ERA isn’t pretty, but given that ugly number, he’s been rather
consistent. In his last 13 starts, he’s only allowed more than three earned runs on one occasion.
Milwaukee’s lineup starts with Brice Turang up top, slotting in at second base, as usual. Around the infield, he’ll be joined by Caleb Durbin, Joey Ortiz, and Andrew Vaughn.
With Christian Yelich at designated hitter, the outfield is assigned to Isaac Collins, Blake Perkins, and Jackson Chourio. William Contreras will start behind the plate.
Here are the full lineups for today’s game. First pitch is set for 3:10 p.m., and it will be on FanDuel Sports Wisconsin and the Brewers Radio Network.
