Bayern Munich will be adding another Urbig to its fold. Jonas Urbig’s elder brother, Luis is reported to join the Frauen second team as a goalkeeping coach. The 23-year-old is currently a free agent.
Per a report by Bild (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), Luis Urbig’s is to move to FC Bayern Frauen:
Luis Urbig, Jonas Urbig’s brother, will move to Bayern as goalkeeping coach of the women’s second team.
In his designation it is mentioned that Urbig will be a goalkeeping coach and part of of the talent development
team. The second team at the frauen setup currently has two young goalkeepers in Sophie Klein and Julia Kreuzpainter. As always, investing in the youth setup is a more efficient and effective way of surviving in the oil and media inflated transfer market and so bringing in fresh talent in that direction is a great move.
