Islam Dulatov delivered as one of the biggest favorites at UFC 318 after he flattened Adam Fugitt with a brutal first-round knockout to cap off the early prelims on Saturday.
A male model turned fighter, Dulatov showed that he’s got some pretty hands after dropping Fugitt with a perfectly timed check left hook. As soon as Fugitt hit the canvas, Dulatov followed him there and unloaded two more devastating punches in a row.
Fugitt’s head bounced off the canvas and the referee was quick to stop the fight
with the end coming at 4:06 in the opening round.

With an important photoshoot planned for Monday, Dulatov was happy that he walked out of UFC 318 unscathed and now holds a perfect 1-0 record inside the octagon.
“I told you I always go for a KO,” Dulatov said after his latest win. “12 fights, 12 finishes. For sure, I look good guys. I can do that [modeling] job.”
Dulatov had a lot of expectations coming into the fight after an outstanding performance on Dana White’s Contender Series and he didn’t disappoint. From the jump, Dulatov showed off his fast hands and nasty power with Fugitt struggling to produce much offense outside of repeatedly trying to press the action up against the cage to slow down his opponent.
Again and again, Dulatov was just stabbing at Fugitt with his straight punches until he saw the opening for the left hook that led to the finish. Replayed showed Fugitt badly dazed from the first punch when he fell down and then he effectively got knocked out again when Dulatov hammered him with two more shots on the ground.
With a 12-1 record overall now, Dulatov appears to be a really fun addition to the UFC welterweight division after dispatching Fugitt in impressive fashion on Saturday.
