Last week was one of the worst weeks that the Atlanta Braves have had so far, which is really saying something considering how terrible this season has been for Atlanta in general. Still, these guys are still giving it their all and trying to get better and that includes Michael Harris II. Despite the rest of the team having some intense struggles, Harris was impressive this past week and his performance was impressive enough to where he’s been named NL Player of the Week for this past week.

Harris finished the week with four multi-hit games across six games last week, including the huge game he had on Saturday evening in Texas. That was when Harris went off for four hits — one was a homer, one was a triple and two were doubles. While it’s not something that you should expect from any player, it was certainly a sight for sore eyes considering just how rough a season Harris has had here in 2025. It served as a reminder that he’s still as talented as we all figured he can be.
While NL Player of the Week may not be nearly as prestigious as our legendary Battery Power Player of the Week Award is, I’m sure that Harris will be thrilled with his achievements over this past week. Here’s hoping that he can keep at least some-to-most of that form going for the rest of the season. The fans need something to cheer about and guys like Michael Harris II are doing their part to at least make sure this team is worth watching.
