The suspense (that really wasn’t) is over. The Cleveland Browns have unveiled their third helmet, their new alternative one.
Rumors of a new helmet for the Browns have been swirling for a while. We at DBN had confirmed with a source with the team that they were, in fact, happening, and the team believed that fans would like the newest addition.
The helmet of Cleveland was long revered as something that could not be changed. Sure, the 75th anniversary one was fine, but fans seemed to push back on other
changes, especially the use of any logo. Then the white helmet was unveiled, and it looked so cool that most fans bought in right away.
With the tease of an announcement coming on Wednesday, a Browns sponsor, DUDE Wipes, shared this video of what many believe is a brown colored helmet floating in Lake Erie. The jokes write themselves:
