What is your final trade deadline prediction for the Phillies?

WHAT'S THE STORY?

The MLB trade deadline is fast approaching, and the Phillies are right in the thick of it. They’ve already struck the biggest move of the deadline so far, acquiring closer Jhoan Durán from the Minnesota Twins. Make sure to keep an eye on TGP’s trade rumor tracker so you can keep abreast of the latest whispers regarding the Phillies.

It would appear that the Phillies may be done acquiring bullpen help based off of what Dave Dombrowski said last night, but there’s a chance they may still be active in trying

to acquire a bat.

They’ve been linked to numerous names including Luis Robert Jr. and Steven Kwan. Neither has moved yet as of this writing.

The Durán deal may have exhausted much of the prospect capital that the Phillies were willing to move in another big deal this deadline though, as it sent out Mick Abel and Eduardo Tait. But they still have the ability to swing a smaller move or two, perhaps for an outfielder to platoon with Brandon Marsh or to replace Max Kepler. They still have the likes of Aroon Escobar, Jean Cabrera, Alex McFarlane and others as well as possibly even Justin Crawford and Aidan Miller to facilitate a deal around if they so choose. Crawford himself may end up being the one that becomes the new outfield bat for the Phillies.

Of course, the Phillies won’t be the only ones making moves. Their direct completion for first place in the NL East, the New York Mets, also acquired bullpen help yesterday. Tyler Rogers and Ryan Helsley are on their way to New York, as the Phillies and Mets appear to be setting up an arms race this deadline. The Phillies may be pressured into trying to keep up with their competition.

With all that being said, what is your final trade deadline prediction for the Phillies? Is Durán the only new player incoming excluding the recently signed David Robertson? Or do you think Dombrowski and co. have another move up their sleeve? Where will Justin Crawford be playing on August 1st?
